New Year Resolutions

It's a new year, and many people of course make New Year's Resolutions.

It can be a useful practice, though many don't follow through past January. That's why if you are part of a gym, you see the crowds thin out by February.

At the worm farm, our resolution is to expand our educational outreach in the community, so more people are aware of vermicomposting and how to set up their own worm bin at home. It's a great way to be environmentally friendly, and can be a fun hobby for many folks. Understandably, not everyone will want to have a worm bin in their home, and that's OK too.

I'm going to keep this entry short, as I need to polish up the presentation, and start reaching out to community groups and schools. And I will be sure to keep reaching out into February -- I don't want to be a short-term resolver!
